Downtown Springdale Alliance Hosts Two Big Holiday Events This Season
Christmas on the Creek and the Hot Cocoa Crawl Have Become Community Traditions
Springdale, AR – Downtown Springdale Alliance hosts two holiday events that are shaping up to be their biggest yet! Christmas on the Creek, a free event, takes place on November 25 from 12-9PM. The Hot Cocoa Crawl takes place on December 1 from 5-8PM. Details are below.
Christmas on the Creek presented by Tyson Foods
Saturday, November 25
Emma Exchange
12PM – 9PM
A local market featuring more than 40 artisans and makers will be open to the public inside Shiloh Square. While you shop, enjoy outdoor beverages. Social Project Brewing Co. and Black Apple Hard Cider will be serving at the Emma Exchange.
Photos with Santa Claus
12PM – 5PM
Santa Claus can be found at the cabin at Shiloh Museum of Ozark History for the children to take photos and drop off their letters to Santa. Be sure to bring your camera. Shiloh Old Time Pickers will play carols and other tunes from 1-4PM near the cabin.
Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
4:15PM – 5:30PM
Local musicians will perform throughout the Outdoor Dining District. We invite anyone that would like to sing along to join us in what is sure to be a magical evening.
J.B Hunt Elementary Carolers will perform from 4:15-4:45PM in Turnbow Park at the Christmas tree
SONA Singers, an auditioned group of choral singers, will lead the community in carols from 5-5:30PM at the Christmas tree right before the mayor lights the tallest live tree in NWA.
Mariachi Aquilas de Guerra, a local Mariachi band, will perform Spanish & English holiday favorites for the crowd from 5:30-6:30PM between Spring St. and Main St. on Emma Ave.

Hot Cocoa Crawl presented by Tyson Family Foundation
Friday, December 1
5PM – 8PM (4:30PM Check-In at the Mile 16 Sign off Emma Ave.)
The Downtown Springdale Alliance is expecting nearly 1,000 people at this event. Attendees can enjoy hot drinks from more than 20 stops with many offering an international twist on the drink. Some of those international stops include:
German Glühwein at Bauhaus Biergarten
Chocolat Chaud at Bienvenue
Mexican Hot Chocolate by the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks, located at Maple Market
Vegan, French-Vietnamese Hot Chocolate by The Medium
The Emma Exchange, featuring local artisans and makers, will be located inside the Arts District on Holcomb Street between 12 Pedal Junction and Bauhaus Biergarten. The Hot Cocoa Crawl also coincides with the Springdale School District’s annual Caroling on the Creek celebration which takes place from 5-7PM in Turnbow Park.

In the event of inclement weather, the Hot Cocoa Crawl will be rescheduled for Friday, December 8.
